All China Strategic Research (ACSR) was originally
founded in 1992 as the consumer research division of All China
Marketing Research Co., Ltd. (ACMR). In 1997, ACSR was formally
created through a joint venture between ACMR and Market Facts
(MFI), a leading American marketing research company based in
Chicago. With 10 additional years of professional and practical
experience accumulated by ACSR , combined with the technology
and reputation of MFI, ACSR has quickly become a leader in the
Chinese marketing research industry.
In the past 10 years, ACSR has set up its national network of
data collection, currently the best network in China, including
face-to-face interview, telephone interview, and online interview.
Face-to-face
ACSR’s face-to-face interview network covers roughly 200
cities. In 50 of these cities, 100 agencies have formed a partnership
with ACSR, where ACSR provides them with annual training on data
collection and quality control so as to help them collect data
based on the principles of unified standard, ensure better quality,
and timely collection.
CATI
ACSR CATI center was formally created in 1999. Up until
now, through its CATI center, ACSR has finished about 600 thousand
telephone interviews in most of the Chinese’s large, medium
and small cities. In order to better support CATI execution, ACSR
annually updates its national telephone databases. There are nationally
up to 3000 CATI interviewers with many different dialects of different
Chinese nationalities.
Online Survey
In April 2002, ACSR formally launched its online interview
platform so as to help its clients to collect data in a timely
manner, at reasonable prices, and using the most convenient methods.
In order to expand its application, ACSR holds very close relationship
with portal webs in Mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, and
moreover has set up its own online panel. Based on current situation,
there will be up to 500 thousands panel members in 2003.
Panel
ACSR started accumulating its offline panel database in 2001,
so as to improve the efficiency of face-to-face interview. First
of all, ACSR access panel is only focused on large cities, such
as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and will be expanded into cities
of lower tiers. ACSR will gradually create its access panel databases
of Infant product, IT&T product, Fashionable products, pharmaceutical
products, etc.
Qualitative research
Since 1992, ACSR has set up qualitative research team and facilities,
initializing the trainings of moderators and qualitative researchers,
qualitative project workflow, one-way mirror, observation, etc.
Up until now, there have been several hundred in-depth interviewers,
specialty interviewers (such as interviewers of telecom products,
pharmaceutical products, etc.). ACSR moderators are divided into
professional moderators, research moderators, and freelance moderators,
which could satisfy our clients’ diverse needs. FGD facilities
are available in over 200 cities in China.
ACSR qualitative team, especially FGD moderators, must pass strict
fundamental and professional training progresses, involving psychology,
communication, and moderator skills. They have already had several
hundred FGD experiences, and their industry sectors are personal
care products, food & beverage, IT, pharmacy and health care,
tobacco, household appliance, internet, telecommunication, real
estate, advertisement, and chain store management, etc.
